ATE brake parts
As a product of Continental Teves, Original ATE brake discs stand for no-compromise vehicle safety and comfort. As a basic principle they are designed to match the technical characteristics of each individual vehicle and conform to the highest quality standards set by the international automobile industry.

ATE brake fluid
With its environmentally friendly system of "testing, filling and disposal", Continental Teves has brought about a closed system for brake fluids. These environmentally-friendly efforts start, of course, with the brake fluid itself. The original Type 200 ATE brake fluid from Continental Teves is a high-performance brake fluid with a dry boiling point of 280 °C and a wet boiling point of 200 °C. This top-of-the-range product lies 20 °C over the DOT 5.1 standard and surpasses this standard in nearly all the other requirements as well. This means that cars can go without a brake fluid change for up to 3 years while products with a lower wet boiling point have to be replaced considerably more often (e.g. DOT 3 products should be replaced annually).

ATE brake discs

Determined optimisation of the manufacturing processes and constant monitoring of materials and design precision guarantee high quality and form accuracy worldwide. Original ATE brake discs from Continental Teves (in the blue packaging) offer maximum safety in every driving situation. The use of original equipment manufacturer materials (high carbon content or alloy cast iron with nickel, chrome, molybdenum, copper and titanium content) guarantees optimum brake performance even when placed under thermal stress up to red heat (over 700 °C) and ensures a long lifetime and high resistance to thermal load. ATE brake pads
In the Thirties, Emero pads using steel wool became standard and in the Seventies the semi-metallic (metal fibre) pads were the norm. At the automechanika in Frankfurt in 1984, Continental Teves presented the third generation of pads, the environmentally-friendly fibre-replacement pads.
Thanks to the fibre-replacement technologies used (pad comprises textile glass fibre, aramid and other fibres), 100% asbestos-free, safe brake pads could be manufactured for the first time. The so-called asbestos-free semi-metallic pads of the time still employed an intermediate layer on the pad back plate that contained asbestos, but it was ATE's brake pads that ensured these pads were now totally free from this dangerous material. Original ATE brake pads are designed as a constituent part of the entire brake system and can therefore resist extreme loads. A stable friction coefficient, compressibility and shearing tenacity are signs of quality that determine the length and direction of your braking distance in emergency situations.
